Here is information for those of you who are interested in Minnesota Honor Society. Students who are eligible are Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors who have a Cumulative GPA of 3.50 and higher, as well as completed 15 volunteer hours. If you are interested in finding out your GPA, please let me know and I can look that up for you.
This is the first step in the MHS process. To get on you must complete your service hours, upload pictures/videos of your service project/and print off and sign (both you and your parents) before Friday, February 26, 2021. Once that is complete students will have to fill out an application for submission as well as letters of recommendation. From there the faculty committee will review everything and make the decision for induction.
For those of you who would like to get started on getting your volunteer time done, I would suggest taking advantage of any down time we have now. Remember, volunteer hours are due to me no later than Friday, February 26th. That may seem like a very long time from now, but again take advantage of the quieter time now versus later when activities are back and you have less free time. Or worse, if you happen to be sick or on quarantine!
Volunteering will look different this year due to Covid. Please check over the volunteer hour ideas, as well as the tracking sheet to get an idea of how to complete your hours. If you have ideas or questions, please feel free to reach out and ask.
I have attached (as well as shared) information on eligibility, the 4 principles/requirements and to be added to Honor Society as well as how to maintain staying on MHS.
